Change, should we believe in?

This is an interesting article about the projected change in staffing for churches.

I wonder if we will continue to be "personality driven" in evangelical churches or if we will focus on building relationships within the congregation. I sure hope we get away from the "big production" mentality and try to stop competing with Hollywood. Church should not be about a "big spectacular production with real spitting camels!!!" it should be a place where we worship God and invest in the lives of others. I question how well a Church can do this once the organization functions more like a "concert production company" than a family.
